phpMyGuestbook is a small guestbook program that uses php and mysql. It includes a Web admin script to view, edit, and delete entries, and change password.
The pkGuestbook module, as its name suggests, supports a standard guestbook on your site.
It allows visitors to post comments and opinions (optionally, they can also enter their name, email and web addresses and geographic location). The i.p. address of the user is also internally logged. When a new entry is made, the application sends you an alert by email. You can then log into your administration and edit or delete any entry.
I did this originally for a Bad Movie Website where visitors make comments on movies. This script can be adapted for any use such as comments on News Stories and Art. This script requires PHP and MySQL. About 50 smilies are included or use your own. Another feature of this script is that when more than ten comments, the last ten comments are listed with a link provided to View all postings.
