It is a simple but fast template engine meant to be able to separate your PHP scripts code from the HTML code that defines its output. phpEngine supports additional, special tags (e.g. , , ) and curly braces ({ and }) to identify placeholders. These tags and particular placeholders are interpreted as commands by the php class and are replaced by respective assigned variable values. After recomposing the pattern file content, phpEngine outputs a valid HTML code.
phpEngine is a good tool to stop writing HTML and PHP code in the same file which then seems to be messy and difficult to understand. Simply stating, if you use phpEngine, you will be able to separate your PHP code from HTML code.
