APBook is a free PHP/MySQL guestbook script.
It has many features such as templates, flood protection, bad words filter, IP logging, e-mail notification for admin and posters, APBcode, preview post, Admin-Center and many more.
Currently APBook is only available in German, but translations into other languages will follow soon.
Chemoventory is a web based software for chemical inventory. It comes in two version: Lite and Standard version. Lite version is free but has limited functionalities. My Very Simple News System is a collection of PHP & MySQL scripts. After install, you can use the web-based control panel to enter news articles and have them appear on your website. If you are a PHP programmer, the VSNS is a very good base on which you can build a more complicated or a different program.
Version 2.3.3 brings an update feature that automatically compares your version to the latest version on my site and tells you if you need to upgrade. Also, you can pin and unpin articles.

I did this originally for a Bad Movie Website where visitors make comments on movies. This script can be adapted for any use such as comments on News Stories and Art. This script requires PHP and MySQL. About 50 smilies are included or use your own. Another feature of this script is that when more than ten comments, the last ten comments are listed with a link provided to View all postings.
